This gym goes above and beyond to get to know you and help you achieve your goals. Love this gym so much!!! They meet with you monthly to assess your progress and offer plenty of help with dietary needs such as recipes and overall grocery lists which is very helpful ….heck they will even go foodshopping with you!! They offer you workouts based on your goals and your abilities and help you achieve them. The members are also always there to offer you a friendly good job or a full out you go girl lol! The coaches are great and try their hardest to keep me on track which I need with my busy schedule!! Great gym, great coaches, and great members ….A++++ in my book😊
Great personalized training tailored to meet your individual goals. I’ve been coming to OPEX Mount Sinai for 7 months and this is the best I’ve felt in years! The coaches are wonderful, extremely caring and knowledgeable, they always make sure I stay on track even when I’m traveling.

It’s a great supportive environment
If you are looking for semi-personal training and a supportive environment, Mt Sinai Opex is for you. You get a personalized workout plan to achieve your goals whether its losing weight, getting stronger, sculpting muscle or recovering from injuries or all of those things. In addition to the face to face monthly evaluations you also get a monthly computer read out of your improvement including weight changes, body fat, water, and muscle mass in different areas of your body.
It’s not the type of gym where you work out with 50 different random people each day. (You generally only work out with a handful of people each day, each on your own program and your own schedule.) You get to know and support one another in a non-judgmental manner while also focusing on your individualized training. Each workout is delivered to you on an easy to use app and trained staff/owners are there to guide you as needed and help correct your form including suggestions for overcoming or avoiding injuries.
If you’re looking for results you should come and check out opex of mount sinai they are great. Not only they customize a workout plan for you they also help you with your nutrition. They also care enough to make sure you stay on track and focused on your goals. I have to say this is the best gym I ever joined

OPEX Mt. Sinai is not your typical gym or fad fitness program. It is not a group class, you don’t sign up and hope that there’s room for you. It is not a gym you walk into and start lifting weights or running on a treadmill as you so desire. It is a personalized program EVERY SINGLE DAY (or as often as you want to come), that your coach writes up FOR YOU SPECIFICALLY based on what it is you’re hoping to accomplish. It is not CrossFit, it is not running on a treadmill for 30 minutes until you’re dripping sweat, it is not doing bicep curls in the mirror to be seen, and it is not hiding in a corner embarrassed that you’re only lifting 5lb weights or you only know a few basic movements.
It is a gym where you come in and make progress towards your fitness goals without judgement, under the watchful eye of certified coaches, as your own schedule permits. It is interesting, it is varied, and it is designed for you to succeed in the long term. At the time that I’m writing this, it’s also the ONLY gym of its kind on Long Island.
Being a member at OPEX Mt. Sinai has brought to light some important facts for me regarding my personal fitness, diet, and overall health.
I and I suspect most others are not nearly disciplined or knowledgeable enough to devise and execute an effective workout plan that is both safe and sustainable. What I mean by that is: your $20 a month free-for-all gym membership, your YouTube videos, your fancy Peloton machine (which has superseded your dusty old treadmill) are not enough to create a varied workout routine that you are going to commit to in order to meet long term fitness goals. Jon and his team create personalized routines that are designed to meet your individualized goals, your time constraints, your dietary needs, and many other factors that we normal folks simply don’t consider.
Further, depending on your goals, there are a host of movements and exercises that are most effectively performed under the watchful eye of your coach, because bad movement patterns and poor form will at best result in an ineffective workout, and at worst result in injury. Your OPEX coach is always present to observe, critique, and correct flaws in your movements to ensure you’re getting the intended results.
Each month at OPEX you have the option to meet with Jon to discuss your progress, get measured for body weight, body fat, and review your diet (and admit once or twice that you ate popcorn). This is accountability for your commitment in and out of the gym, if you want it, and proof that you are actually making progress. In terms of diet, which I personally struggle with, Jon is there to help make adjustments, suggestions, and (I challenge you to find another gym ANYWHERE that does this:) go food shopping with you.
Regardless of whether you have never worked out before, or you’re coming from a high intensity program elsewhere, regardless of your age, regardless of a million other factors that make you feel like working out is inaccessible, OPEX Mt. Sinai is a truly unique gym that offers an undeniably effective fitness plan designed for you to succeed.
P.S. I was not paid or incentivized to write this review, but maybe it’ll get me out of having to do a few squats next week…just kidding.
